York filmmakers document Looking [at] China

Eight students from York University’s Department of Cinema & Media Arts enjoyed an extraordinary experiential learning opportunity this summer when they travelled to China as part of the Looking China project. Each student made a 10-minute documentary on the theme of “Individual, Family, Nation.” The documentaries will be screened Oct. 13 at York’s Keele campus.

A diverse group of students from the Lassonde School of Engineering at York University embarked on a voyage of entrepreneurial discovery to Israel this past summer. The undergraduate engineering and computer science students, along with one student from the Schulich School of Business, undertook an intensive program at the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology in Haifa.
