Professor Emeritus of theatre Don Rubin, an original faculty member of York University’s Faculty of Fine Arts, hosted an international conference for the Shakespeare Oxford Fellowship at the world-famous Mark Twain House and Museum in Hartford, Conn. this past fall.
Twelve students from across the Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies were recognized as winners of the annual prize during an event on Nov. 27. The students were honored for their outstanding work by Associate Dean (Students) Peter Avery during a recognition ceremony.

A bright light in Canadian cinema and screenwriting has gone out with the death of York University film production, screenwriting and cinema studies Professor Amnon Buchbinder. The prolific filmmaker and professor died on Nov. 30 at the age of 61.
