Construction hoarding is being erected in the east concourse of York Lanes. The work began Nov. 2 as renovations got underway for the redesigned York University Bookstore (YUB), see the Aug. 12 YFile story for more information.

University community members will notice that the protective fencing, once completed, will extend up to two metres into the concourse. Access to the both the south entrance and the northeast corridor will be maintained.

To access the main Bookstore during renovations, a new, accessible temporary entrance has been created on the east side of York Lanes, next to Kaneff Tower, see the Oct. 8 YFile story. Inside, stairs and an elevator will provide direct access to the main bookstore, called YUB Central, on the lower level for textbooks and general books. Two temporary store locations, YUB East for clothing and giftware and YUB West for stationery and art supplies, will be operating in York Lanes during the renovation period. See the Oct. 28 YFile story.

For more information, refer to the maps and signage in York Lanes to find which of the three locations has what you need.
