14119_GMail_yFile_r1York University undergraduate students are reminded that the University is moving its @yorku.ca undergraduate e-mail accounts to a York U service powered by Google’s web-based suite of services and collaboration tools known as Google Apps. The new Google Apps at York includes:

  • e-mail
  • calendaring
  • file storage and sharing
  • Google docs and more.
York University undergraduates can sign up for their Google Apps account at any time prior to the new extended deadline of April 17. When they do, their Google Apps at York account will be created and the email content from the existing @yorku.ca account will be moved automatically. The last day for email from the old account to be moved automatically is May 4, after this day students will have to move their old e-mail manually.
An important note to students: If you do not sign up to move prior to April 17, your Google Apps at York account will be created, but the e-mail content in your existing @yorku.ca account will not be moved automatically.

For more information about Google Apps at York, see the Dec. 1, 2014 YFile story. To learn more about how to sign up, visit the Google Apps at York website.
