York faculty share sustainability research at Earth Day event

York University faculty will participate in the free community event “Markham Celebrates Earth Day” on April 21 from 10am to 4pm at the VIP Cinema Building, the home of YSpace.

The Earth Day event will share details on innovative eco-projects, including reducing carbon footprints and tips on sustainable lifestyles.

York and York-affiliated members from the Faculty of Environmental Studies (FES) and Lassonde School of Engineering (LSE) participating in the event include:

• Researchers Jose Etcheverry (FES), Usman Khan (LSE) and Calvin Lakhan (FES post-doc), who will present their research; and

• David Wheeler, adjunct faculty member and special advisor to the Dean (FES), who will deliver a keynote address.
