It is with deep concern that I inform the York University community of an unfortunate incident where two members of the York community were injured on the picket line today. We are monitoring the status of the individuals who were injured and our thoughts are with them at this difficult time.

The University is working closely with the Toronto Police Services (TPS) to provide assistance in their investigation. TPS has a description of the suspect and vehicle involved in the incident. If you witnessed this event, contact TPS at 416-808-1900.

This unfortunate incident is a critical reminder to all community members of the need to be vigilant in respecting the picket line and to maintain patience at all times. Frustrations can escalate when faced with a temporary delay in entering or exiting our campuses. The safety and well-being of all members of the York community is of the utmost importance, and your vigilance, cooperation and patience is greatly appreciated.
