Sidewalk excavation near Schulich begins Aug. 21

To locate a leak on the underground chilled water main system near the front of the Seymour Schulich Building, a contractor will be excavating the sidewalk on the east side of Ian Macdonald Boulevard between Fine Arts Road and York Boulevard South. The work will start on Thursday, Aug. 21, and it is estimated to continue for three to four weeks depending on what is found upon excavation.

Chilled water, cold domestic water, hot water and fire protection water will not be impacted. Access to all buildings in the area will not be affected by this closure.

The contractor performing the work will be available during construction to direct pedestrian traffic safely around the construction site. When travelling throughout the construction zone, please watch for and obey all traffic signs and or traffic control personnel.
