York University alumni Irvin Studin and Sam Sasan Shoamanesh are back with a major two-day international conference titled, “The State & Future of the World, Post-Pandemic & Post-U.S. Election.” The conference takes place, virtually, Nov. 27 and 28 and features some of the world’s leading thinkers and practitioners.
A new study out of York University looked at drownings in 10 countries and found warming winter air temperatures were a good predictor of the number of drownings. The research examined several decades of data, including 30 years worth for each province and territory in Canada.
An Osgoode Hall Law School clinic that provides free access to legal services for vulnerable investors has received an award of $157,750 from a class action settlement approved by the Ontario Superior Court of Justice. The clinic will use the award to advance further experiential learning opportunities and internships for students.
