Dance prof’s documentary wins at Cannes Indies Cinema Awards

A film by York University Associate Professor Patrick Alcedo earned the Best Short Documentary award at the Cannes Indies Cinema Awards on July 10. The film, titled “They Call Me Dax,” explores a 15-year-old’s struggle to survive as a student and ballet dancer while living on her own.
