LCD Emergency screen testing underway this morning

As part of the ongoing commitment to expand and improve emergency communications within the York community, new LCD screens have been installed in various locations across the Keele campus. Testing of the LCD emergency messaging screens will take place on Friday, Aug. 23, between 7 and 8:30am.

During the testing period both the new and existing LCD screens on campus will be turned off for intermittent periods and will not be viewable to the community. In the event of an emergency, testing will be immediately suspended and all screens will become active and will display the applicable emergency messaging.

For further information on this, or any other of York University’s emergency preparedness initiatives, visit the Emergency Preparedness website, or contact the Office of Emergency Preparedness at ext. 55258.  For concerns during the testing, contact Security Services at ext. 33333.
