Summer fun returns with the York Youth Connection summer day camp

Registrations are now being accepted for the York Youth Connection (YYC) summer day camp. Campers aged 8 to 14 will have the opportunity to explore programs in theatre, visual arts, science, sports, and leadership (for 13-14 year olds). Two-week sessions, from June 30 to Aug. 22, include daily swimming, sessional day-trips and lots of exciting and educational activities.

The campers will experience a full day of activities starting at 8:30am and finishing at 4:30pm, five days a week, with structured program activities from 9am to 4pm. A pre-care service is available from 8am and an after-care program is available on request until 5pm. The York Youth Connection Web site offers additional information.

YYC has served York and its neighbouring community for more than 30 years, establishing traditions and connections among students, the campus and community members. While at YYC, campers engage in creative programs that promote confidence and creativity. While exploring York’s Keele campus, they learn about the University and take advantage of York’s facilities through camp programs. Many a youthful camper has grown up to become a York graduate.
