Solie will moderate “Meet the Presses: submitting, editing, and publishing creative work,” part of the Rishma Dunlop Reading Series, with three talented individuals at the heart of Canada’s most vibrant publishing programs. Solie will be joined by Canisia Lubrin, poetry editor for McClelland & Stewart; Leigh Nash, publisher at House of Anansi Press; and Alana Wilcox, editorial director for Coach House Books.

Each of these guests will discuss how creative work develops from manuscript to book, and some of the challenges and opportunities encountered by writers and publishers along the way.

Those interested in publishing their writing or are interested in a career in publishing would benefit. A question-and-answer session will follow.

The discussion runs from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. in McLaughlin Junior Common Room 014. Click here to register for free.
