Guidi was a valued member of the LA&PS community and joined the Department of Economics as a graduate program assistant in 2012. Guidi is remembered by her colleagues for her warmth and humour.

She was very proud of her nomination as part of the economics team for the 2019 Harriet Lewis Team Award for Service Excellence. She exemplified York University’s spirit of service and commitment to students.

She was an avid traveller and loved exploring far-flung destinations and experiencing what the world has to offer. When not travelling, Guidi fostered abandoned cats.

She was the dear daughter of Mario and Joanne Guidi, and the sister of Michael. She will be deeply missed by her many aunts, uncles, cousins, colleagues and friends.

A memorial service has taken place. Donations in her memory can be made to any of the following organizations: World Vision – Africa Water Fund, the Toronto Cat Rescue, the Canadian Cancer Society and the Sick Kids Foundation.
