York to host first Sexuality Studies Bridging Course

York University’s School of Gender, Sexuality and Women’s Studies will host its first Sexuality Studies Bridging Course beginning Sept. 29.

The course, originally scheduled for September 2021 but delayed tue to the pandemic, will take place at The 519 located at 519 Church St., Toronto.

Hosted by the Bridging Program at York University, the Sexualty Studies Bridging Course will foster the development of skills and confidence and enable participatnts to continue their education in a supportive environment. Participants will learn about exciting concepts in the innovative field of sexuality studies. It offers a great opportunity to be introducted to how gender, sex and sexuality impact us personally, in relationships, communities and society.

Sexuality Bridging course

Course participants must be 20 years of age or over, permanent residents of Ontario, and comfortable in both spoken and written English. A grade of “B” or better offers mature students admission to York University. The Sexuality Studies Bridging course is not appropriate for those who require ESL instruction.

Time of course: Thursdays, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Orientation session date: Thursday, Sept. 29
Start date: Thursday, Oct. 6
End date: Thursday, Dec. 15
Course fee: $150 plus books
