A two-day academic conference for undergraduate students to showcase their research and engage in scientific discourse is accepting abstract submissions until March 20.
The Conference for Undergraduate Health Research (CUHR) was developed by the Undergraduate Health Research Exploration (UHRE) program at York University and recognizes students as the next-generation of health scientists. It challenges future transformational leaders to showcase their work and experience the collaborative nature of the academic community. CUHR provides the opportunity to connect with established research leaders in the field through keynote events, networking opportunities and award recognition.
The conference welcomes submissions from any undergraduate student who has completed research in kinesiology, psychology, nursing, global health, neuroscience, health policy and any other research regarding human health and factors affecting it. Awards and recognition will be given to the top performing presenters, and participants will have their submitted abstracts published on the UHRE website.
2022 conference theme
CUHR’s inaugural theme, Agents of Change, seeks to bring a group of next-generation health researchers as transformational leaders in science. CUHR is a unique opportunity for future leaders in health science to showcase their existing work in this field, to engage in scientific discourse, and to experience the collaborative nature of the academic community. All presenters are encouraged to reflect on the ideas and motivations behind their research work, and are encouraged to go beyond the lab and to share bold ideas for the future of health research.
The theme is inspired by the Agents of Change program at York University, which has generously supported the development of CUHR, and its parent organization, the Undergraduate Health Research Exploration (UHRE) program.
This virtual conference will take place on May 27 and 28.
