Notice of remediation work on Ian Macdonald Boulevard until Sept. 3

New concrete sidewalk, curb and asphalt work will take place as part of the remediation of Ian Macdonald Boulevard required after the Inverted Trench Excavation and Investigation was completed in spring 2021.

The work will take place on the east side of Ian Macdonald Boulevard in the sidewalk area and lay-by, across from the main entrance of the Archives of Ontario. It is expected to finish on Friday, Sept. 3 at 5 p.m.

The sidewalk on the east side of Ian Macdonald Boulevard between York Boulevard and Vanier Lane is closed and an alternative pedestrian travel path is being provided (see image below in blue for the exact location). The working area (sidewalk and lay-by) will be enclosed with fast fence for the duration of the work to restrict access.

Ian Macdonald Boulevard will remain open. As the work is progressing, lane realignment will be required with traffic cones indicating the southbound and northbound lanes. When travelling throughout the construction zone, please exercise caution and obey all signs for your safety.
