The Scholars’ Hub events are done in partnership with Vaughan Public Libraries, Markham Public Library and Aurora Public Library, and are presented by York Alumni Engagement. Students, alumni and all members of the community are welcome to attend. All sessions take place at 12 p.m.

The series continues on Dec. 9 with “Memory and decision-making in the time of COVID-19.”

This presentation features York University Professor Shayna Rosenbaum, Department of Psychology, Faculty of Health.

The COVID-19 pandemic has led to an unprecedented global disruption, costing jobs and lives. This talk will focus on applying principles of memory and decision-making from cognitive psychology to understand how the pandemic is affecting decisions about adhering to protective measures until a vaccine or treatment is available.
