As international mobility is limited due to COVID-19, finding new ways to engage globally is vital. York University faculty and members from partner universities are invited to join the Globally Networked Learning (GNL) team and York International for an in-depth and interactive workshop to help bring global perspectives and cross-cultural collaborations into existing courses.

Learn how GNL approach can connect two or more classrooms from across the globe to participate in and collaborate on joint lectures and class discussions, a shared assignment, or collaborative research projects (among others) through innovative pedagogies and the use of online communication and information technologies. Aside from addressing the immediate challenges posed by COVID-19, GNL helps students to build their global outlook and fluency though curricula internationalization and offering new models of global learning and mobility.

A free webinar will take place on Friday, Aug. 7, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. (ET), or from 6 to 7:30 p.m. (ET). Participants will learn about:

  • How to connect and build partnerships to integrate the GNL approach.
  • How to integrate GNL-enhanced course activities.
  • How to prepare your GNL proposal, and so much more.
