Call for nominations: President’s Community Safety Leadership Awards

The President’s Community Safety Leadership Awards recognize individuals and groups that are helping to build a culture at York where everyone is involved in safety, looking out for one another, reducing safety risks and acting on potentially unsafe situations.

The deadline for nominations for the President’s Community Safety Leadership Awards is Friday, Feb. 28.

Now is your chance to nominate an individual or group from the York community that demonstrates safety leadership, with consideration given to:

  • overall impact of the nominees’ safety contributions;
  • degree of innovation, originality and sustainability;
  • level of enhancement or improvement to existing initiatives; and
  • how did the nominee go “above and beyond the call of duty”?

Nominations will be reviewed by a sub-committee made up of students, faculty and staff who are members of the Community Safety Council.
