Looking to gain valuable research experience and continue your learning journey into the summer months? Explore your passions, get a taste of graduate school and make money this summer at the Lassonde School of Engineering.
The Lassonde Undergraduate Research Award (LURA) and the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council Undergraduate Student Research Award (NSERC USRA) are your ticket to deepening your research knowledge and honing your technical and professional skills by working on a research project under the supervision of a Lassonde faculty member.
Applications for these 16-week, experiential learning programs are now open. They are highly competitive with limited spots available. Apply by Feb. 14 for your chance to participate.
LURA is open to qualified students from Lassonde and beyond, including applicants from other countries. Many of the LURA and NSERC USRA graduates have gone on to conduct research as graduate students, acknowledging the integral role that LURA and NSERC USRA played in their career choices.
Grad school not your thing? Participants have even leveraged the experience into co-op positions, enabling them to advance in industry settings the following year.
To be considered, students must identify a faculty supervisor for the duration of the 16 weeks and submit an application for adjudication.
