October is Healthy Workplace Month at York University

The goal of Healthy Workplace Month is to increase awareness of the need for a comprehensive approach to workplace health in Canada. October is Healthy Workplace Month and it is influenced by four elements:  Healthy Lifestyles, Workplace Culture and Mental Health, Physical Environment and Corporate Social Responsibility.

York University values the health, safety and well-being of all community members, and is committed to creating a healthy workplace through the integration of safe physical and psychological space, as well as an organizational culture that promotes prevention, support and well-being.

During the month of October, University community members are invited to participate in events that could help to increase knowledge about a healthy workplace and improve personal well-being. Participants can also win prizes by participating in the York Healthy Workplace Challenge, in which they are invited to identify and/or implement small changes that can make a big difference in their own well-being and workplace.

Challenge details and a calendar of events can be found on the Health Safety & Employee Well-Being yu link site.
