York International presents two talks, May 22 and 27, on study abroad programs

York International presents two events focused on international experiences for undergraduate students.

On May 22, York International will host a talk titled “Nanyang Technological University (NTU) Education and Immersion Opportunities.” Don’t miss this great opportunity to meet Pauline Ho, deputy director, NTU Office of Global Education and Mobility. Ho will share details about the many exciting education and immersion opportunities at NTU. The information session will be held in 242 York Lanes from 11 a.m. to noon.

Students will learn about NTU, a world-class university in Singapore that has been an international partner since 2006. In the 2019 QS World University Rankings, NTU was ranked 12th in the world and third in Asia.

On May 27, York International will present the Portugal Cultural Talk, which will be of interest to students interested in studying or travelling in Portugal. Members of the Portuguese & Luso-Brazilian Studies Department in the Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies will host the event in Room 242, York Lanes from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Students will learn more about Portugal and discover intriguing details about one of the most historic countries in Europe. Portuguese language instructor Sofia Palma, who is also a visiting scholar from the University of Helsinki in Finland, will deliver the presentation.
