This challenge brought together undergraduate and graduate students from institutions across Canada, with talent represented in STEM, arts, communications and business. The competition was held in three phases: a preliminary round consisting of online submissions, a regional round held across several cities and a final round held in Toronto.

During the competition, powered by Tableau Software and sponsored by CIBC and Deloitte, each team was judged for their innovation, design, storytelling, analytical and presentation skills.

“The Schulich MBA education and experience gave our team the tools and insights on how to solve a problem from a business opportunity standpoint,” said Nurpissov. “From day one, our professors taught us how to focus on the business problem and how to create a transparent and logical vision. The ability of not just looking at the data trends, but connecting the dots, was recognized by the judges as one of the distinguishing factors. It was truly an honour for us to represent Schulich at such a prestigious event.”
