York University’s School of Continuing Studies has joined forces with #DevTO, the leading community of web developers and code enthusiasts in Toronto, in support of their flagship International Women’s Day Talks (#IWDTO) event, celebrating women in tech fields.

York students can attend the event at a special rate of 50 per cent off, giving them a chance to hear from a panel of leading women in emerging fields and network with like-minded professionals who share their passion for innovation and diversity in technology.

For students in continuing professional education programs like the Certificate in Full-Stack Web Development and Certificate in User Experience (UX) Design, attending this type of event can be incredibly rewarding, enhancing what they’re learning in their courses with real-world experiences and industry connections.

Taking place on March 4 at RBC WaterPark Place, 88 Queens Quay W, Toronto, the #IWDTO event features a thrilling panel of women from diverse career backgrounds ranging from innovative startups to tech giants and beyond, speaking about their experiences and pressing issues affecting their industries today.

With more than 6,500 members in their MeetUp.com group, #DevTO has quickly established itself as a premiere destination for web developers, user experience designers, and anyone who loves writing code. By supporting this growing community, the School of Continuing Studies is engaging people in emerging technology where they work and play, while helping students get connected and launch their new careers.
