ElleHacks will host its third annual hackathon Feb. 1 to 3 in the Bergeron Centre

ElleHacks is the largest hackathon in Canada created for women and non-binary individuals of all experience levels. The event, taking place from Feb. 1 to 3 in York University’s Bergeron Centre for Engineering Excellence, is led entirely by students with backgrounds in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). It encourages students from all technical and creative disciplines to collaborate, learn and compete to solve real-world problems in an inclusive and safe space.

Students of all skill levels are encouraged to attend, even if they have never written a line of code. The event organizers are prepared to teach novice participants and support even the most experienced hackers.

Teams must include four to five members. Don’t have a group? Visit ElleHacks Facebook page or Slack channel to connect with like-minded individuals eager to join in on the fun.

Interested hackers, volunteers and mentors can apply on the ElleHacks website.
