In addition to being recognized for her years of service, Clabassi was also presented with the inaugural Emily Tjimos Award for Service Excellence, established in recognition of Emily Tjimos, a staff member in the Dean’s Office who passed away in 2015. The peer-driven award recognizes a staff member in the Faculty who demonstrates exemplary customer service and support to students, faculty and staff at the highest level.

“It is wonderful that Mary was the recipient of this award, as she more than exemplifies all of the qualities that Emily brought to her work,” said Martin. “It is also great to see so many of our staff honoured for their important and valued contributions to the Faculty over many years.”
