Electricity shutdown will affect a number of buildings on the Keele campus

In order to maximize utilization of both co-generation units, electrical load will be shifted from Steeles Main Substation to Keele Main Substation.

The following buildings will have their electrical source switched on Wednesday, Oct. 25.  At 6:15am, an electrical shutdown of two to three minutes will start, affecting the following buildings (in the order shown), with an interval of approximately 10 minutes between buildings:

  • Student Centre (west of York Lanes)
  • Scott Library
  • Curtis Lecture Halls
  • William Small Centre and Arboretum Parking Garage

Emergency power will NOT be affected by the shutdown.
