Members of York University’s senior administration paid tribute to recently retired faculty and staff during the annual Retirees Luncheon held Nov. 17 in the Private Dining Room in Schulich’s Executive Learning Centre, where retirees and their guests enjoyed a gourmet lunch.

Gary Brewer, vice-president Financy & Administration, Mamdouh Shoukri, president and vice-chancellor, and Rhonda Lenton, vice-president Academic & Provost, remarked on the great contributions the staff and faculty have made over the years, and thanked them for their dedicated service.

“York University has seen some wonderful changes over the years,” said Shoukri, “and the most important of these would not have been possible without your leadership and contributions. Thanks to your work, we are known for the excellence of our scholarship and research and for being a dynamic, diverse, and inclusive University that is deeply engaged with the communities we serve.”
