Grade 9s get a get glimpse of what it’s like to work at York

The annual Take Our Kids to Work program at York University was a tremendous success, with a great many Grade 9 students coming to work for the day with staff and faculty of the University on Nov. 2.

The event invites Grade 9 students to come to work with a parent, guardian, or relative to observe the daily activities of the employee at work. The program was initiated by the Learning Partnership program in 1994.

Students shadowing their parent/guardian at work also had the opportunity to attend an information session outlining the academic programs at York, and participate in a campus tour. These events concluded with lunch from noon to 1pm, where students and their chaperones were served pizza, salad and dessert.
