Excavation of the New Student Centre has begun, at the Roy McMurtry Green. Pedestrian traffic along the Atkinson Walkway will be diverted through the North Atkinson Breezeway from Oct. 19 until further notice.
How will this impact the community?
- Pedestrian traffic north and south along the east side of the site will be diverted through the Atkinson North Breezeway. Breezeway will be left open 24 hours 7 days a week until further notification otherwise.
- East-west access of Library Lane will not be affected and will be maintained for the duration of construction.
- Parking and drop off area located along Atkinson walkway will be maintained with a temporarily reduced number of parking spaces available.
When travelling through the immediate construction area, watch for and adhere to all traffic and pedestrian signage, as well as traffic control personnel assigned to the site.
