Lassonde undergraduate research conference coming to Bergeron Centre

Lassonde is the leading organizer and host of the pan-university undergraduate research conference So You Think You Can Research?, taking place Aug. 11 from 8:30am to 5pm on the main floor of the Bergeron Centre for Engineering Excellence.

FEATUREDbergeronStudents from Lassonde School of Engineering, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Health, and Schulich School of Business will be participating in this event. This is the first time that a prestigious, full-day conference will be organized for the summer students in these Faculties.

To date, 76 students have registered (58 from Lassonde, 17 from Science, 4 from Health, and 1 from Schulich).

Their work has been funded by various programs including Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) Undergraduate Student Research Awards, Lassonde Undergraduate Research Award, Mitacs Globalink Research Internship, Faculty of Science Dean’s Undergraduate Student Research Awards and others.

The goal of this conference is to prepare students for the conference environments they will encounter in their future careers. Students will prepare posters, presentations and talks.

Judges from each Faculty will evaluate posters and talks; prizes will be awarded at the end of the day.
