The Northwest Gate Temporary Parking Lot will be closed to public use beginning 5pm Friday, May 13, for work on Pioneer Village Subway Station. The Northwest Gate parking lot is located off Ian Macdonald Boulevard east of Thompson Road.
Closure of the parking lot is required to build the final roads and for watermain installation.
Construction work will take place daily from 7am to 5pm.
How will this impact the York Community?
Pay & display parking will no longer be available in this temporary parking area. Alternate comparable rate visitor parking is available in the Founders East Visitor Lot. For more information, please visit www.yorku.ca/parking.- The pedestrian route to the football field is accessed from Ian Macdonald Boulevard west of the roundabout.
- Noise, vibration and asphalt work is expected during the excavation work for the watermain installation and restoration of the roads and parking lot. Construction equipment includes excavators, bobcats, plate tampers and the noise from the backing up of vehicles.
