Due to construction activities related to underground utilities, the colonnade and sidewalk between the Burton Auditorium and the Centre for Film & Theatre will be closed during all hours from Tuesday, Oct. 13, to Tuesday, Nov. 17.
A new temporary crosswalk and a pedestrian detour route will be constructed around the site (see map below). Community members can also choose to take the weather-protected accessible route through the Accolade West Building, behind the Burton Auditorium and through the Centre for Film & Theatre.
Occupants of adjacent buildings and pedestrians may experience some noise due to construction activities.
The contractor performing the work will be available during working hours to assist in directing pedestrians and vehicular traffic safely around the construction site.
When travelling in the vicinity of the site, please watch for and obey all traffic signs and/or traffic control personnel for your safety and convenience.
