Due to critical outdoor electrical repairs at the Computer Methods Building, there will be a complete electrical power shutdown of both the Kinsmen Building and the Computer Methods Building (as they are on the same source of power from the campus powerhouse substation) on Saturday, May 23, beginning at approximately 8:30am and lasting six to eight hours.
Additional work on the electrical supply to these two buildings will be also be undertaken during this time to improve reliability. This includes electrical pole inspection, clearing of tree branches too close to the overhead wires etc.
Questions or concerns regarding this interruption can be directed to Gary Gazo, medium voltage distribution engineer, at ext. 20949 or email@example.com. For any concerns during the shutdown, contact Security at ext. 33333.
