A memorial service for Thyra Garcia has been planned for Monday, Nov. 24 at 3pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 2125 Erin Centre Blvd., Mississauga, Ont.
The manager of payroll and records in the Department of Human Resources and a beloved member of the York University community, Mrs. Garcia died suddenly on Nov. 15 while battling cancer. The flags on the Keele and Glendon campuses and those at Passey residences were lowered to half-mast on Tuesday, Nov. 18 in memory of Mrs. Garcia.
