Due to the installation of new energy-efficient chiller equipment at the Central Utilities Building (CUB), Albany Road between Chimney Stack and Albany Road Parking Lot (see photo below) will be blocked by a trailer and a mobile crane on Monday, May 12 and Tuesday, May 13 between 7am and 6pm. This work is required to offload the machinery onto the CUB floor.
How will this impact the York community?
- Vehicle and pedestrian traffic on this section of Albany Road must use Severn Road for access to CUB, Albany Parking and York University Development Corporation.
- Some noise and vibration in the immediate area can be expected.
- The contractor performing the work will be available at all times to answer concerns as required.
- Additional bulletins will be distributed if impact on the campus or status of the project changes.
When travelling throughout the construction zone, watch for and obey all traffic signs and traffic control personnel for your safety and convenience.
