Show your York U spirit, wear Red and White on March 26 and take part in the aerial photograph at 1pm in the Harry W. Arthurs Common on the Keele campus.

York University has a strong and vibrant community spirit. On March 26, the University celebrates its 55th birthday and to mark the occasion, all students, staff and faculty are invited to wear red and white, or York gear.

This year’s event features a special addition! All York community members are invited to gather in the Harry W. Arthurs Common on the Keele campus for York University’s first ever Red and White Day aerial photograph at 1pm!

Wear Red & White or York gear! The historic photo will be available for download following the event at http://www.yorku.ca/redwhite/. The first 200 participants will receive a free red toque.

At noon, just before the aerial photograph, there will be a spirit rally in the Student Centre.

“By wearing our colours, we show our pride and passion for this greatUniversity,” says York’s President & Vice-Chancellor Mamdouh Shoukri. “As our visual identity, our colours help to unite our incredibly diverse community of 65,000. I hope I can count on all of you to join us on Red and White Day, and I look forward to seeing you all on the Common for this historic aerial photograph”.
