The York Boulevard transit bridge into the Harry W. Arthurs Common will be closed west of James Gillies Street from early Wednesday, Nov. 27, and will reopen Monday, Dec. 30. This closure will permit maintenance of the bridge over the York University Station site. During the closure, TTC, GO Transit and York University buses will be temporarily diverted as outlined in the map below.
Beginning Nov. 27, from 7am to 11pm, Toronto Police Services paid duty officers will help ensure safe pedestrian and vehicular flow at the intersections of Ian Macdonald Boulevard, James Gillies Street and Sentinel Road with The Pond Road. Traffic flag personnel will direct construction vehicles when necessary.
Due to the temporary bus diversion, increased traffic congestion may occur along this route resulting in transit delays during peak times on The Pond Road, Ian Macdonald Boulevard, Sentinel Road and Keele Street.
