Pedestrian walkway closure Oct. 9

Walkway Closure

On Wednesday, Oct. 9, from 8am to 2pm, the pedestrian walkway east of Ian Macdonald Boulevard towards the York Boulevard Parking Lot will be closed for asphalt repairs. This walkway is used for access to York Boulevard and the York Boulevard Parking Lot. Pedestrians are asked to use either the York Boulevard Parking Lot detour or the alternate detour pictured below. Flag personnel will be stationed near the work area to ensure safe pedestrian flow.

Please be advised that an asphalt smell will be present during this work.

Pedestrians requiring access to the York Boulevard Parking Lot may detour using the walkways on Ian Macdonald Boulevard and turn east at Vanier Lane/Diversion Road (illustrated by the purple line in the image above).

Pedestrians who need to access southbound York Boulevard are asked to use the alternate detour (illustrated by the yellow line in the image above). The alternative detour for pedestrians is to use the walkway adjacent to the Kaneff Tower and proceed to the pedestrian walkway across from the Common, east on York Boulevard South and east through the Schulich Building Colonnade walkway.
