A date with innovation

May 9 event celebrates academic innovation

The ways in which undergraduate students learn – and want to learn – are changing, according to speakers at an upcoming event celebrating academic innovation at York University.

On May 9, you are invited to join a celebration of innovation in teaching and learning at York University. You will hear colleagues discussing how a number of innovative eLearning, experiential education and first-year transition projects are improving the student experience at York.

Learn how they are using geoinformation systems to augment emergency management, easing first-year students into university with an online enrolment appointment and course-based peer mentoring, and more.

The event will take place May 9, from 9am to 4pm, in the Tribute Communities Recital Hall, Accolade East Building on York’s Keele campus.  Stay tuned to YFile for more information about the day’s agenda and how to register for this empowering event.
