In celebration of York’s new brand – “this is my time” – one current student could win free tuition for a year at York just for coming up with their vision for the future.

Isaac De Souza’s vision is to help the first human land on Mars in 2027. Anuj Arora hopes to Vision Exchange logocreate stem-cell-based organs by 2028. Kelly Paoli’s vision is for her screenplay to win an Academy Award in 2025.

What’s your vision? What will York help you achieve?

Enter your vision on York’s vision exchange wall for a chance to win.

Be specific and write about your vision in present tense as if your future is now. Then select the year you want this to happen in.

Start thinking about your vision and enter it on the vision exchange wall staring Sept. 19. Twenty-five random entries will be drawn from the submitted visions, which will then be judged by a panel of York judges. The contest will close Oct. 26 with the winner being announced in November.

The contest is open to all full- and part-time students at York. The year of free tuition is a credit worth up to $6,200, which can be used up to the year 2016.

Know a future student? Pass the news along – there’s also a contest for a year of free tuition for one future student. They just need to tweet their vision to the MuchMusic website – click here to enter the “this is my time” website for all the details.

So get thinking, posting and tweeting. What’s your vision?
