Great fanfare marks completion of first phase of Toronto-York Spadina subway expansion

The completion of one section of the Toronto-York Spadina subway expansion linking the City of Vaughan and York University with downtown Toronto was marked with great fanfare Monday by dignitaries, including Mayor Rob Ford and TTC chair Karen Stintz, reported the Toronto Star June 12.
