Sign up now for the Glendon Athletic Club’s popular tennis day camps for children this summer.
Nine one-week camps start the week of June 25 and end the week of Aug. 20.
The full-day instructional tennis camps are taught by certified tennis professionals. Campers are grouped according to age and ability, and given lessons designed to introduce new skills and build on what they learned the day before.
A day at tennis camp 2011
A typical camp day will include on-court instruction, round robin play and multi-sport activities (dodgeball, soccer and basketball). Every day, campers will also enjoy a swim in the club’s indoor pool and a fresh lunch in the air-conditioned Bistro.
This year, the GAC is offering extended care outside of camp hours. Daily sessions are scheduled from 9am to 4pm, but for an extra fee ($45 for a five-day week, $36 for a four-day week), children can arrive as early as 8am and leave as late as 5pm.
The fee for a normal five-day camp is $300 for members, $375 for non-members. The fee for a four-day camp (during Canada Day and August Civic holiday weeks) is $240 for members, $300 for non-members.
For more information and to sign up, visit the GAC Junior/Youth Tennis Camp web page or call the membership office at 416-487-6717.
