Two robberies reported on the Keele campus

Two robberies on the Keele campus were reported to York Security this week.

A York student was robbed of her Blackberry Bold smartphone at 8:30pm on Monday, March 21, near the fountain in the Harry W. Arthurs Common at York’s Keele campus. The robbery was reported late Tuesday.

The suspect is described as:

  • Male, black, 6 feet tall, slim build, approximately 20-30 years old, wearing a black hoodie and a dark hat. 

In the second incident, which took place on Tuesday, March 22, a student was robbed of his glasses and money at 12:30pm in a classroom on the fourth floor of the south wing of the Ross Building.

The suspect in this incident is described as:

  • Male, black, 6-foot, 1-inch tall, under 200 pounds, light brown Afro style hair, scruffy facial hair, a tattoo on the right side of his neck and a tattoo in blue ink on both hands.

York Security is assisting the Toronto Police Service in the investigation of both incidents.
