It’s the age of exploration this summer

The Faculty of Science & Engineering’s Science Explorations and Engineering Explorations summer camp programs are now accepting applications for the 2011 summer session. There is limited space available – register early and secure your spot!

Science Explorations is back with a new curriculum designed to inspire and stimulate budding young scientists, aged 8 to 11. The camp offers a variety of innovative and captivating science-themed, hands-on activities. 

Engineering Explorations, the engineering-focused camp, will challenge older aspiring scientists, ages 10-13, with interactive activities using technology and simple machines. In both camps, in addition to the science or engineering curriculum, campers are exposed to York’s many facilities, both in the lab and outside the buildings.

Science Explorations will be offered in two formats this year – as a one-week or two-week (A1 & A2 or C1 & C2) program:

The camp office is now open and registration is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Campers will experience a full day of activities beginning at 9am and finishing at 4pm, five days a week. Extended supervision is provided free of charge to all campers from 8 to 9am and from 4 until 5pm. Additionally, subsidies for camp fees are also available; inquire if interested.
