City Seminar speaker will look at declining inner suburbs

David HulchanskiDavid Hulchanski, professor of housing & community development in the Faculty of Social Work at the University of Toronto, will today give the latest talk in the City Seminar series presented by the City Institute at York University.

Hulchanski will speak about “Toronto’s Third City: The Declining Inner Suburbs” from 12:30 to 2pm, in 305 York Lanes, Keele campus.

Hulchanski is associate director of the Cities Centre at U of T and author of a recent report titled, The Three Cities within Toronto: Income polarization among Toronto’s neighbourhoods, 1970-2005. His teaching and research are focused on housing, homelessness, neighbourhood change and social policy.

The City Seminar is an interdisciplinary series of presentations and discussions on urban landscapes, past and present.
