In addition, Osgoode alumnus Bobby Sachdeva (LLB ’91) of Pallett Valo LLP was named Lawyer of the Year (male) at the event where Ujjal Dosanjh, member of Parliament for Vancouver South, was the keynote speaker.

The award given to Puri, who is one of Canada’s most respected corporate and commercial law experts and the co-director of Osgoode’s Hennick Centre for Business & Law, is the latest in a long list of honours she has received including the Osgoode Teaching Excellence Award in 1999 and Canada’s Top 40 under 40 award in 2005.

“Professor Puri is a formidable force whose contributions to academia, the legal profession and the community continue to grow,” said Osgoode Dean Lorne Sossin in announcing the SABA award to the Osgoode community.
