Robbery near Danby Woods under investigation

York University Security Services is continuing to provide assistance to the Toronto Police Service Major Crimes Unit in its investigation of a robbery on Friday, Oct. 29 at around 1:30am. A non-York community member who was walking near the Danby Woods reported that he was robbed of his wallet by three males.

The incident took place near the pathway that divides the York Boulevard Parking Lot from the Harry Sherman Crowe Co-op. The three suspects drove away from the scene in the direction of Chimneystack Road and Keele Street and then proceeded south.

The Toronto Police Service Major Crimes Unit describes one of the suspects as a brown male, approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall , possibly West Indian, aged 22 to 23 years old, wearing a black hoodie.
