York students can visit the ROM for free on Tuesdays

York students are eligible for a complimentary admission program run by the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) on Tuesdays.

The offer is part of ROM CAN (Community Access Network), an innovative program launched in 2008 that provides free museum tickets directly to members of the community, including full-time students attending a postsecondary institution in Canada, who may not otherwise be able to visit the museum. Among other initiatives, it also provides free museum admission to all visitors every Wednesday afternoon from 4:30 to 5:30pm.

The ROM CAN program does not include special exhibits for which there are separate admission fees; however student rates are available. The ROM’s next exhibition, The Warrior Emperor and China’s Terracotta Army, starts June 26 and runs until December. Tickets are $7 for students with ID cards.
