Worried about the environment? There’s still time to Clean Air Commute

Over the past week, commuters to York University have been participating in this year’s Clean Air Commute. They’ve walked, cycled, carpooled and telecommuted to work and their collective efforts are contributing to better air quality. There’s still time to participate in this year’s Clean Air Commute.

York’s Parking & Transportation Services and Smart Commute – North Toronto, Vaughan are coordinating this year’s Clean Air Commute sponsored by Pollution Probe. All those who participate will be entered into a draw for a bike, laptop or even a Caribbean cruise.

From June 22 to 26, if you opted for a greener way to commute to work, why not let others know about your efforts? Sign up for your online diary card and track the amount of emissions you reduced this week. Hard copies of the diary card are also available on GO Transit vehicles and trains, and outside the Parking & Transportation Services Office at 222 William Small Centre. Submit your diary card by June 30 for your chance to win!

It only takes a few small changes to your daily routine and, even if you only clean air commuted for one day, your efforts still count and by filling out a diary card, you could win a prize. You can even take part just by checking the air in your tires – anything that helps reduce emissions helps clean the air!
